BARS® insecticide drops for cats contain the following active ingredients per 1 ml: fipronil (100 mg), cyflutrin (2.5 mg), piperonyl butoxide (0.5 mg), and diflubenzuron (1 mg).This formulation exhibits a strong contact insecticidal and repellent effect, effectively targeting both larval and adult stages of fleas, lice, and various mites that affect dogs and cats. It also prevents attacks from blood-sucking diptera insects such as flies and mosquitoes.
After application to the skin, the active ingredients are evenly distributed across the animal’s body surface without entering the systemic bloodstream. They accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles, and sebaceous glands, providing a prolonged contact insecticidal and repellent effect.A single application of the product ensures the elimination of fleas within 24 hours, while ixodes ticks and lice are eradicated within 48 hours. The protective effects last against ixodic ticks for up to 4 weeks, against fleas and lice for up to 8 weeks, and the repellent action against blood-sucking diptera insects lasts for up to 7 days.

The use of BARS® insecticide drops is contraindicated in animals that exhibit heightened sensitivity to any of the drug’s components. It should not be administered to dogs and cats suffering from infectious diseases or those that are weakened, nor should it be used on animals of other species. The product is not suitable for auricular application if the tympanic membrane is perforated. Caution is advised when treating dogs and cats weighing less than 2 kg, and such treatments should be conducted under veterinary supervision.Additionally, BARS® insecticide drops are not to be used on puppies and kittens younger than 8 weeks old. If treatment is necessary for pregnant or nursing animals, it should be done cautiously and under the guidance of a veterinarian.
BARS® insecticidal drops are applied as a single spot treatment to dry, undamaged skin.
For cats weighing over 10 kg, use a combination of pipettes at a rate of 0.5 ml for every additional 5 kg. For cats under 2 kg, administer two drops (0.05 ml) for every 0.5 kg of body weight.To prevent re-infestation by fleas, replace or treat the animal’s bedding with an appropriate insecticide as per the manufacturer’s instructions.To remove ixodic ticks, apply one drop of the product directly onto the tick and its attachment site. If the tick does not detach within 20-30 minutes, carefully remove it with tweezers and dispose of it.For treating otodectosis (ear scabies), clean the ear canal of wax, exudate, and scabs before instilling 4-6 drops into each ear. To ensure even distribution, fold the ear lengthwise and gently massage the base. Any remaining solution in the pipette should be applied to the skin between the shoulder blades. In cases of severe otodectosis complicated by otitis media, additional antibacterial and anti-inflammatory treatments may be necessary, and BARS® drops can be reapplied after 7-10 days. Both ears should be treated, even if only one is affected. To prevent splashing, hold the animal’s head steady for a few minutes after application.For conditions like demodecosis, sarcoptosis, and notohedrosis (scabies), apply the product in a thin layer over the affected areas, extending to the surrounding healthy skin. Treatment should be repeated 2-4 times at intervals of 7-10 days until clinical recovery is confirmed by two negative acarological tests.To prevent the animal from licking off the treatment, consider using a neck collar or muzzle, which can be removed 20-30 minutes after application.
